Project Adelante

This collaboration between Oxnard College and CSU Channel Islands aims to improve the transfer process. This initiative includes a first-year experience program for Oxnard College transfer students with CSU Channel Islands students serving as peer mentors. In addition, a dual enrollment and learning Math/English summer bridge program with local high schools and Oxnard College increase on-line learning/hybrid opportunities.

Alignment to Grad Initiative 2025 Goals

  • Increase the 2-year and 4-year graduation rates for transfer students
  • Eliminate the achievement gap for historically underrepresented and low-income students
